ECC is dedicated to
the creation of
accurate producible
designs. We strive to
implement time proven
engineering principles
with current
manufacturing
processes.
Our specialties
include concept and
product layouts, ProE
CAD models, mechanical
designs and detailing
We can evolve concepts
from an idea or sketch
to a completely
documented product.
Many clients often
need a piece of
equipment or a part
that will accomplish a
particular task. ECC
will provide the
design along with an
actual prototype or
the production parts.
Our expertise in the
mechanical engineering
field since 1994 has
proven to be a
valuable resource when
projects require a
fast turn around time
or increased staffing
requirements. Our
customers range from
individuals with an
idea to large
manufacturing and
commercial firms. They
represent a broad
array of products and
services from simple
mechanical devices to
jet fighter flight
control systems.
Preliminary Concepts
Sketch concepts are
produced for
mechanical design and
manufacturing assembly
designs. Concepts can
be done in free hand
sketch format or 2D
CAD/CAE format or 3D
CAD/CAE solids (or
wireframe) format.
These concepts are
presented to the
client for review and
approval prior to
proceeding.
Construction Layout
This preliminary
layout is the
foundation for the
product manufacturing
assembly design. This
stage should finalize
and clearly define
solutions for molding,
assembly procedure
methods, assembly
design and
manufacturing
problems. This layout
is often a notebook of
the designers
equations and ideas.
Part Details
Each component is
pulled off of the
construction layout as
an individual part.
This process is to
provide the production
tool and manufacture
part design
specifications.
Drawings are third
angle orthographic
projected type. Parts
are most often drawn
to scale. Enlarged
details/sections are
included for clarity.
Exact dimensions,
tolerances and
specifications are
detailed.
Assembly Drawing
An assembly drawings'
principal purpose is
to check the part
details. It is a
reverse engineering
process whereas all
the part details are
overlaid to rebuild
the assembly. It is an
important drawing
check prior to tool
release.
Engineering Proving
Model (EPM)
This model can serve
several uses. Its
primary purpose is to
provide the designer
with three-dimensional
design verification of
fit, assembly and
design performance. It
is constructed from
