& Structural Engineering firms, architects approach us seeking
Diploma holders with ‘CAD-GIS’ background. All these years, we
have been contacting various training centers to service our
client’s requirements and we are unable to provide even 20% of the
Industry requirements. Also, the Engineers, whom we were selecting
from these institutes, were lacking skills in the following 3
areas…
1) Inadequate Engineering and Machine Drawing concepts.
2) Poor software knowledge at application level though found
reasonably good in command level.
3) Very poor in Soft skills- Communication, vocabulary,
interpersonal skills, interview skills etc.
So, we have
found that there is dearth of skilled CAD CAM diploma holders and
we are witnessing the industry suffering without skilled manpower
and witnessing the diploma engineer’s suffering without the
required skill to get a right job.
Having noticed
this suffering both at the student and industry segments and with
our continuous interaction with the leading CAD companies made us
analyze the growth and scope of employment opportunities in CAD
CAM for engineers. It is estimated that there will be a demand of
over 5000 Diploma Civil and Mechanical Engineering during the year
2007-2008. We are targeting to cater atleast 10% of this
requirement to satisfy our customers, who approach our portal from
all over the globe.
